MICHAEL PENIX IS THE REAL DEAL

The Atlanta Falcons have given up on Kurt Cousins and his throwing 100 interceptions each season after paying him an aircraft carrier full of money to be their quarterback. Michael Penix Jr. is now the starting quarterback for The Atlanta Falcons as they have to win their last three games to have any chance at a playoff spot. Cousins is what we thought he was, he is very very good sometimes and can win you games and he is very very bad sometimes and can lose you two or three games in a row. This is why many teams did not think Cousins was an NFL starting quarterback. Well, The Wonderful organization led by Arthur Blank found out that they just wasted a huge amount of money on a free agent quarterback. The Falcons have mentioned cutting Cousins and eating the salary. The Falcons did draft a quality quarterback in Michael Penix Jr., and they are starting him now in week 16.

The Falcons crushed The Giants 34-7 behind Penix. Actually, The Falcons defense won this game for them, Penix threw for 202 yards, no touchdowns and had one pick. Bijan ran for 94 yards and two touchdowns which was The Falcons offense. The Falcons defense had two pick sixes to equal Robinson's touchdowns. Penix's favorite targets turned out to be Darnell Mooney and Drake London. If you watched Penix closely, he was very comfortable and processed information quickly picking out receivers and delivering the ball to the open man. He looked just like college dropping back and going through his progressions very quickly and delivering strikes. I did not recommend drafting him because he has had 4 knee operations at Indiana University and as soon as he gets hit several times you don't know what is going to happen. Penix did not get touched playing behind The University of Washington offensive line for two years. The Falcons offensive line isn't known as a brick wall and more of a pile of mashed potatoes. If Penix does not get crushed by blitzing linebackers he can be a very effective quarterback, he has the physical skills and he seems to be mentally ahead of the other young quarterbacks. Let's hope he stays upright and has many good years connecting with receivers.

RAIDERS WHAT DO YOU DO NOW?

If you are The Las Vegas Raiders what do you do now that you have had one of your worst seasons in the team's history? Believe or not I can tell you and some General Managers in the NFL can also. John Lynch is re-building The Broncos the right way. Well, let's get to The Raiders,

First you want to terminate the entire coaching staff.
Hire a Head Coach who has the responsibility to hire a staff without Executive involvement.
I would pay whatever it took to get Ben Johnson out of Detroit. You need to give Johnson a five-year contract and give him all the control he wants. He is the best offensive Coordinator in the game and will work well with your quarterback Aiden O'Connell. If Johnson is not possible look at Kellen Moore, Mike Kalfka and Ken Dorsey. All played quarterback have been QB coaches and offensive coordinators. Not possible now he was hired by DA Bears.

Looks like Pete Carroll will coach the re-build with one of his coordinators marked as the successor in three to four years.

Yes, make O'Connell your quarterback for the next three years at least.

Pete doesn't see O'Connell as an issue he sees the defensive as #1 priority since several starters are free agents.

Draft an offensive tackle first it is a thin offensive linemen draft. Also trade veterans for draft picks to get more than seven.

5A. WR draft second all The Colorado receivers are in the draft and all of them can play.

5B. Draft defense third edge rusher or defensive end.

5C. Draft pick four best defensive player on the board.

5D. Draft pick five best defensive player on the board.

5E. Draft pick six the best offensive linemen on the board.

5F. Draft pick seven the best defensive player on the board.

6. Free agency go after defensive backs, and find a couple running backs even if they are rookie free agents.
7. Support Ben Johnson and let him do his job, that you paid him big money to do.

It is really not that difficult to do, you at least won't be the worst in the NFL and you could be challenging for a playoff spot in three years. You have to be patient it takes time, Dan Cambell has been leading The Lions for four seasons now. Dan was an assistant with the Lions for over a decade.

WHEN PICKING WINNERS TRUST YOURSELF

Many major networks are not always thinking about you when they give out their so-called expert advice on the outcome of games. Remember every organization has a mission and every employee has an objective which supports the organizations mission. The organizations mission usual has to do with profit and loss statements and customer perceptions which affect the profit and loss statements. These major networks may have a connection to other organizations which profit from sports gambling. I have tracked some so-called experts, and they do not track very well when they become part of the network. There are some good software programs on the market, but they are not extremely accurate on every contest either. Review all the data, what some online experts are saying that have nothing to gain from your losses, review the statistics and make your own conclusions. The so-called experts are not concerned with making you money only supporting the organizations mission.
